This is Bella! She is an owner surrender and about 4 yrs old. Her owner placed her with us because she would climb a 4' chain link fence and wouldn't come to him when she was called. He would not make any changes to her fencing situation. Bella is a great girl but not for everyone. She does not do well with children as sometimes she likes to be left alone and, if pushed, she may try to nip. She does love to cuddle and she is not an alpha female and is more "middle of the road". Her best friend is Stella and she plays with Panda. She also gets along with my entire house crew. For her safety, she needs to have a privacy fence. She is crate trained (and likes to curl up in one) but does well in a home situation without one. She does well with other dogs or can be in a single dog home. Because of the need to make room to pull from statewide animal controls, I am REDUCING THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY TO $300. ~Tara All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated against Bordetella, DHLP, Influenza, and Rabies, as well as microchipped prior to adoption. We require a $500 adoption fee that will partially recover our expenses. We do require that an adoption application be filled out and submitted (http://gprwi.org/adoption-application.html). Upon receipt we will check veterinary and personal references and then schedule a home visit. We do require a fenced in yard (an invisible fence is not an acceptable means of confinement). We are always in search of approved foster homes. Upon receipt of a foster application, a similar process to an adoption is done.
